                          《綜合英語》課程教學大綱

                          一、課程教學目的

                          本課程是英語專業一、二年級學生的一門必修課,旨在培養學生的聽,說,讀,寫,譯的基本技能,并使其了解中西語言及文化之異同,從而幫助學生打好堅實的英語語言基礎,培養他們的語言能力和交際能力,使學生在正確、自然而且靈活地掌握本階段所學的語言的基礎上,能在恰當的場合隨機應變地熟練使用所學語言。通過讓學生閱讀具有知識性和趣味性的閱讀材料,提高學生的閱讀能力與閱讀興趣,同時加深對西方文化的了解;通過寫作訓練與練習,使學生具有基本寫作能力;通過定量的翻譯練習,讓學生掌握基本的翻譯技巧;通過大量的口語練習,使學生具有初步的交際能力。綜合英語的重點是糾正、鞏固語音、語調、強化聽說訓練、同時側重增加詞匯語法知識練習及寫作練習,注重各項語言技能的全面發展,突出語言交際能力的培養。另外,還要在堅持四項基本原則和愛國主義教育的前提下,繼續培養學生跨文化交際能力,培養學生對文化差異的敏感性、寬容性。

                          二、課程教學要求

                          本課程主要通過語言基礎訓練與篇章講解分析,使學生逐步提高語篇閱讀理解能力,了解英語各種文體的表達方式和特點,擴大詞匯量和熟悉英語日常句型,具備基本的口頭與筆頭表達能力。在加強基礎訓練的同時圍繞課程不同單元話題展開討論、辯論,加深學生對英語國家的文化認識,了解中西語言與文化的異同,逐步提高學生的英語綜合運用能力。

                          三、先修課程

                          語法、語音、閱讀、寫作等。

                          四、課程教學重、難點

                          英語發音的基礎技能,如語音語調、連讀、弱讀與強讀;

                          詞匯學習中同義詞、反義詞練習及語境語用意識;

                          語法識別和應用能力、句型的活用能力。

                          五、課程教學方法與教學手段

                          采用教授與討論結合的方法。課堂上采用啟發式,精講多練,充分調動和發揮學生的積極性,具體包括回答問題、對話 、討論,辯論、演講、短劇表演等。課堂上講授與討論相結合,課后鼓勵學生查閱相關文獻資料及工具書,提高學生自學能力。注重實踐,并讓學生多閱讀與本專業相關的雜志、書籍,采用適當的學生感興趣的活動形式。結合練習,鞏固課堂所學內容,組織一些生動有趣的活動,把所學知識運用于實踐,組織學生進行英文演講、辯論等活動,同時給學生裝提供相關的教學活動與翻譯活動機會,讓盡可能多的學生有機會把學到的知識廣泛應用于實踐中。這個過程中教師只是活動的組織者,學生是活動的主體。

                          一、課程教學目的

                          本課程旨在培養學生語音感知、詞匯識別、語義理解等基礎技能以及采用策略實現聽力目標的能力;提高學生在交流中保持任務導向和交流目的、主動積極尋找合作、共同構建對話意義的能力;引導學生學會比較中外文化異同、融合語言與內容、提高跨文化交流能力;訓練學生闡釋、分析、評價、推理和自我調節等高層次的思維能力,掌握支撐思辨,思辨深化理解,在提高有效交流能力的同時,語言和思維得到共同發展。

                          一、課程教學目的

                          《英語閱讀》是英語專業基礎階段教學的一門必修課,同時也是使學生大量接觸英語讀物和培養閱讀能力的一門實踐基礎課。泛讀課教材選用語言材料的內容呈百科知識性,包括社會生活各個方面;同時,語言材料的文體呈多樣性,既有文學作品,又有記敘文、說明文、議論文、新聞等語言風格不同的閱讀文章。英語泛讀課的目的在于通過大量閱讀,培養學生的英語閱讀理解能力和提高學生的閱讀速度;培養學生細致觀察語言的能力以及假設判斷、分析歸納、推理檢驗等邏輯思維能力;提高學生的閱讀技能,包括略讀、尋讀等能力;并通過閱讀訓練幫助學生擴大詞匯量、吸收語言和文化背景知識,加深對英語語言特點的理解,提高閱讀的速度和理解能力及快速、準確、有效地獲取信息的能力,以培養具有綜合素質的英語專業人才。

                          二、課程教學要求

                          本課程重點講述英語閱讀的基本原理、閱讀技巧和實踐方法,側重于英語學習者語言綜合知識的運用。因而教學過程中應注重閱讀理解能力與提高閱讀速度并重,強調基礎知識學習、基本技能訓練與語言應用能力的有機結合,強調語言學習與文化素質培養的有機結合。要求如下:

                          1)一年級的學生:能較熟練地使用英英詞典并初步學會查閱參考書;能讀懂中等難度的英語新聞電訊、特寫、傳記、科普文章和文學原著;閱讀速度達到每分鐘不少于80個詞;能掌握主旨大意和文章結構,并能根據所讀材料進行推理和分析,領會作者的真實意圖。

                          2)二年級的學生:能在5—6分鐘內速讀800詞左右的中等難度的、內容廣泛、體裁多樣的文章;在理解的基礎上分析文章的思想觀點,領會作者的態度;同時具備語篇的分析能力,能夠就閱讀材料的內容進行討論,思考和總結;了解文章的通篇布局,分析作者在文章中所運用的語言技巧和修辭手段,具備一定的鑒賞能力。

                          該課程教學重點是英語閱讀材料及技巧的學習,把閱讀技巧理論知識和實際閱讀操作結合起來,注重培養學生快速、準確、有效地獲取信息的能力;把文章主題和課文內容聯系起來,注重整體理解,把握課文中心思想;以文章的主題和中心思想為引導,理解細節,掌握語言點,擴大詞匯量。

                          教學難點是使學生有效掌握基本的閱讀理解技巧,對各種閱讀技巧靈活運用;通過找出文章的主題、主題句、闡釋主題的具體材料,總結文章的中心思想;認識文章材料組織形式,給文章列提綱;分析文章題材、文章寫作手法、推斷作者的立場及態度;分析文章的通篇布局、語言技巧和修辭手段等。

                          五、課程教學方法與教學手段

                          針對閱讀課程的自身特點,課堂教學應貫穿以學生為主體、教師為主導的教學模式。在講解閱讀技巧的同時應輔以大量的閱讀實踐,在大量的閱讀過程中體會并掌握各種閱讀方法,達到逐漸提高閱讀理解能力與閱讀速度的目的。在加強訓練的同時,采用啟發式、討論式、發現式和研究式的教學方法,充分調動學生學習的積極性,激發學生的學習動機,最大限度地讓學生參與學習的全過程。

                          本課程除利用傳統教學手段外,還積極探索利用現代化的教學手段進行輔助教學,如計算機輔助教學和網上閱讀等,指導學生利用現有圖書資料和網上信息獲取知識。
